Brendco Mechanical Services wants brendco.com to be usable by everyone, including visitors who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation or magnification.
Our target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This site was built with that target in mind, and we review it whenever pages change substantially.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML headings, landmarks and lists so assistive technology can navigate structure
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images and empty alt on decorative ones
- Colour combinations checked for contrast against WCAG AA thresholds
- Visible keyboard focus styles on links, buttons and form fields
- Labels associated with every form control, plus status messages announced politely
- Reduced-motion support: animations are disabled when your system requests it
- Layouts that reflow to a single column on small screens and at 200% zoom
Known limitations
Some third-party content, such as embedded fonts and any future map or video embeds, is outside our direct control. Where a barrier exists we will provide the same information in another format on request.
